About me
Hello, I’m Kim, a late diagnosed ADHD and autistic humanistic integrative counsellor. I provide a warm and welcoming, safe, non-judgmental, and deeply collaborative space for women to untangle what they are going through, make sense of their experiences, and find a path forward that feels authentic to them. I am a registered member of the BACP and NCPS accredited member.
As an integrative therapist, I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I tailor our work together to fit your unique personality and needs, holding your autonomy at the absolute center of everything I do.
In my own life I have pushed through far beyond my limits and been the person who looks after everyone else until reaching burn out in perimenopause. I know what it feels like to wonder what happened and why is everything so hard. This can be the loneliest time and that is why I changed career to support women who need to find the joy in their life again and rediscover who they are, at this point in their lives. I know time is limited and everyone needs you but you need time to pause and rest, even if you have to be creative to find this.
How I can support you
My approach to mental health is collaborative and I see my role as an observer and passenger who travels with you for a while as you reflect and process your experiences and consider what your needs are, alongside the demands of your daily life. The goal is always finding ways for you to step into this part of your life and move forward with peace of mind. We want you to be able to thrive within the life you have.
My Special Interests
While I work with a wide range of life challenges, my core areas of special interest include:
Grief and Loss in All Its Forms: Bereavement is only one part of grief. I support clients navigating anticipatory grief, the loss of relationships, identity, health, or the grieving processes that accompany major life changes.
Late-Diagnosed Women: Processing the relief, grief, and identity shifts that often come with receiving an autism or ADHD diagnosis later in life.
Midlife Burnout and Overwhelm in Women: Helping women untangle the pressures of career, caregiving, societal expectations, and internal demands when the tank is completely empty.
PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder): Providing compassionate support for the emotional, psychological, and physiological impact of hormonal fluctuations.
How we can work together
Starting therapy can feel daunting, especially if you are already feeling burnt out or overwhelmed. My goal is to offer a soft landing place where you can drop the mask, catch your breath, and be fully heard.
Whether you are trying to process a profound loss, navigate the complexities of being a neurodivergent adult in a neurotypical world, or simply figure out who you are beneath the weight of burnout, we will go at your pace.
“You don't have to navigate it alone. If you'd like to see if we might be a good fit, please feel free to reach out to schedule a gentle initial chat.”
